Daniel Aiken, Esq.

Daniel G. Aiken, Esq. is from and resides in Lincoln, Maine. Dan is a 1968 graduate of the University of Maine and received his law degree from Suffolk University in 1972. He was a General Practitioner from 1972 until 1995.

In 1989, Dan founded Gateway Title. He has more than 40 years of experience in transactional real estate. He is very close with his three children and his grandchildren. Dan likes his toys, spending time in Texas and at his camp in the northern Maine woods.

Daniel D. Burke, Esq.


Dan was born and raised in Washington, DC and grew up coming to Maine in the summer. He graduated from Bowdoin College in 2002 with a degree in geology and worked in the environmental field in the New York City area before returning to school. In 2010, he received his law degree and Masters of Environmental Law from Vermont Law School and set his sights on returning to Maine full time.

Dan worked for the Maine Department of Conservation, learning about and drafting policy for the Maine Forest Service and Land Use Planning Commission. He then moved to one of the larger law firms in Bangor, cutting his teeth on real estate transactions. Dan was able to learn the ins and outs of residential closings, commercial transactions, and large timberland transfers and the accompanying title work. He joined Gateway Title in October 2018.

In his spare time, Dan enjoys mountain biking, hiking, and fixing up an old house on the coast of Maine. He currently lives in Bangor with his wife, two kids, and two dogs.

Kortney Aiken-Theriault

Kortney grew up in both Lincoln, Maine and Goliad, Texas. She graduated from the University of Maine in 1999. In 2000, her father asked her if she wanted to “learn the business.” She started at Gateway Title learning how to conduct title searches at the Registry of Deeds. In 2001, Kortney began working in the Bangor office and soon learned to process loans and conduct closings. She and Nichole work well together and have created great business relationships within the Bangor area for the past 12 years. She works in both the Lincoln and Bangor locations and enjoys traveling throughout New England as a “Dance Mom” with her daughter. She currently lives in Enfield with her husband Peter, daughter Delaney, Golden Retriever Zoey and their very egocentric cat, Simon.

Nichole Jipson-Soucy

Nichole was raised in Burlington, Maine and currently resides in West Enfield with her husband Francis. Nichole has spent her entire career with Gateway Title. She was introduced to our Lincoln office in 1996 and shortly transferred to help with the opening and management of our office in Bangor, where she remains. Her knowledge and commitment to customer satisfaction helps to bring Gateway Title to the forefront of our industry. Nichole is licensed with the Maine Bureau of Insurance as a Limited Title Insurance Producer.

When not in title and closing mode, Nichole enjoys spending time with family and friends.

Carl Willoughby

Carl is a Marketing Director and covers the Central, northern, Downeast and Midcoast regions of our state. He is also a closing specialist who believes the closing should be an experience for the lender’s customer, so he travels the entire state to make that happen. He has been with Gateway Title since 2007 and before that spent nearly thirty years working in the automobile business.

Carl loves being at home and spending time with his best friend and wife, Rhonda. He also loves spending time with his family and friends, especially his three grandsons. His passion has always been playing his drums and he currently plays with the praise and worship team at his church.

Lexi Scott


Lexi serves as Gateway’s Account Executive for Greater Bangor, Northern, and Downeast Maine. Lexi has a strong background in title insurance and real estate closings. She has traveled all over the state of Maine closing real estate transactions. From Greenville to Machias, Portland to Presque Isle – she has been there!

Prior to working in the title sector, Lexi was a Real Estate Agent in the Mid-Maine region. Her transactional experience gives her a unique perspective on title issues and working with buyers and sellers. She is passionate about providing an exceptional level of service to all of her clients.

In her downtime, Lexi loves to take advantage of Maine’s outdoors kayaking, golfing, fishing, and hiking.


Su Leigh

Su is our Marketing Director for Central and Mid-Coast Maine, with over 20 years of solid real estate industry experience. She believes strongly in the American dream of home ownership and the spirit of community it fosters. Su and her partner Jeff Hanson(a native Mainer) recently moved from Colorado to be near his young daughter. Avid animal lovers, their family also includes their rescued dogs and cats. She is thrilled to meet the people and to explore this great state.

Su is the mother of grown daughters, a visual artist(painter), creative gourmet cook and an avid sports fan. She volunteers with animal welfare organizations and Habitat for Humanity. Her guilty pleasure is watching Jeopardy! in the evenings.

Kristofer Aiken

Kris was born in Bangor and grew up in Lincoln. In the eighth grade, his mother and stepfather moved he and his sisters to Texas. He returned to Maine for his junior and senior years of high school at Mattanawcook Academy, where he graduated in 1991. He spent his first year of college at the University of Maine at Augusta as a music major until he realized he didn’t really want to be a music teacher – he wanted to be in a band.

Kris moved back to Texas and attended college in San Marcos, near Austin, the live music capital of the world. He spent 10 years in a band playing music full time, making albums and touring throughout the Southwest. In 2009, he returned to Maine and started working for his father at Gateway Title as an abstractor and closing agent. He then attended college for Information Technology, which is one of his many jobs. Kris lives in Lincoln with his wife Alycia and their daughter Georgianna.

Amanda Brown

Amanda was born and raised in the small town of Burlington, Maine and now resides in Howland with her husband Danny, daughters Miranda and Christine, and their Golden Retriever Bella.

Amanda originally joined the Gateway Title team in 1999 and after five years decided to try her hand at mortgage processing. She has now returned to our Gateway family. Having the combined experience with both the lending side of the business and the title side makes Amanda a valuable asset to our company.

In her personal time, Amanda enjoys reading, camping, and spending time with her family.

Irene Bolduc


Irene is originally from Skowhegan, Maine. She began working in the real estate field in 1988 as an abstractor while completing courses at UMA for paralegal and legal assistant. She continued with real estate and expanded to probate and criminal law. Upon returning from Tennessee with her two daughters, she joined the Gateway Family in 2017 as a Closer and Processor.

Irene has two daughters, Emilee and Olivia. She enjoys all four seasons with outdoor play and following her daughters’ futures and activities. Her favorite hobbies include kayaking, hiking and ice- skating.

Peggy Williams

Peggy started working for Gateway Title in 2006, bringing her years of experience in the real estate field with her. She first worked as a processor and loan officer at a bank, and began doing real estate closings in 1999. She loves interacting with the people that she works with.

Peggy was born and raised in Nashville, Tennessee. She moved to Maine in 2004 to be closer to her grandchildren (and their parents too, of course). In her spare time, she loves working in her vegetable garden, canning and putting up goods for winter and spending time with her grandchildren.

Pam Myrick


Pam was born and raised in Unity, Maine and moved 4 miles up the road to Troy where she still lives today with her kitty Annie, who is 18 years old.

Pam joined Gateway in October of 2017. Pam has 30 plus years in banking, filling positions from Teller to Assistant Branch Manager, to Trainer. She also worked for 5 years as the Lien Coordinator for the State of Maine, Maine Revenue Services.

In her time away from the office, Pam enjoys spending time with her boyfriend in Winslow and their dog Jasmine. She loves to read, particularly James Patterson and John Grisham. She also loves spending time with family and friends.

Shirley Porter

Shirley grew up in Enfield where she lives with her family today. She is an Eastern Maine Technical College graduate with an Associates Degree in Business Management. Shirley returned to the team at Gateway Title after a change in direction in her career with a local paper mill. After being away from the real estate world for a time, she is diving back in. Her prior ten years of experience with Gateway Title seems to be coming right back.

When not busy at work, Shirley enjoys relaxing at the lake with her husband Chuck, their two children, Brody and Josh, and their Yellow Lab Ruger.

Shannon Jordan

Shannon grew up in the “bright lights” of Prentiss in northern Maine, graduating from Lee Academy in 1996 at the young age of 16. She went on to attend Husson College for two years, studying Executive Administration and Information Processing. After graduating from Husson in 1998, she moved to Lincoln and worked for a local law firm until the birth of her daughter in 2000. After taking a short break from the working world, she became employed at Gateway Title in November of 2001. In December 2007 she took a few months off from work for the birth of her son. She has worked as the Abstracting Coordinator since her return, and opens each file for all of our branches from the Lincoln office. Shannon also works two part-time jobs from home and has recently completed her Associate Broker course.

When she’s not working, you can usually find her enjoying her children’s sporting events or spending time with family and friends.

LeeAnn Rideout

LeeAnn grew up in the little town of Winn, Maine with an older sister and two older brothers. She graduated from Lee Academy in Lee, Maine. Leeann has 15 years of customer service experience and brings that to our clients at Gateway Title. Together, she and her partner have four children who are involved in numerous activities at school. She enjoys snowmobiling, hunting, fishing, and spending time with her family. LeeAnn is very outgoing and looks forward to continuing her career at Gateway Title.

Chelsea McCafferty


Chelsea lived in Mattawamkeag until 1994 when her family moved to Lincoln. She graduated from Mattanawcook Academy in 2003 and went on to graduate from Eastern Maine Community College in 2005 with an Associates in Business Management. Chelsea joined the Gateway Team in May of 2018 after working 12 years for a local welding corporation. When not working, Chelsea spends her time being Mom to her son Emery. They enjoy spending time with their family and friends. Chelsea also enjoys attending the races at Speedway 95 during the summer months, target shooting with her bow, camp, music and sunshine.

Stacey Beals

Stacey was born and raised in The County. After she graduated from Central Aroostook Junior/Senior High School in Mars Hill, she moved to Georgia, where she began her real estate career. Working for a real estate agency for nearly 14 years, she covered many different aspects of the real estate world, including selling, title work, and work in the foreclosure market. She currently boasts more than 20 years of experience in real estate.

Stacey has three children, two step-children, and one grandchild. She loves spending time with her husband and family, reading, tending to her garden and shopping for shoes.

Lori Clayton

Lori was born and raised in Caribou, Maine where she now resides with her family. After several years working in real estate law, Lori joined Gateway Title in June of 2009 when our Presque Isle location opened. After a short break as a licensed Property & Casualty Insurance Agent, she rejoined Gateway Title in November of 2017. Lori takes pride in providing every client with exceptional service. When not working, Lori enjoys recreational activities with her husband, Jon and their son, Liam.



Richard Jones

Richard was born and raised inHolden, Maine. He graduated from Brewer High School in 2012 and then went on to graduate Husson University in 2016 with a degree in paralegal studies. He started working as an abstractor at Gateway Title in June of 2016.

In his free time he enjoys spending time with family and friends, watching Red Sox games, swimming and going to concerts.

Taylor Hawkins

Taylor grew up in Lincoln and graduated form Mattanawcook Academy in 2012. In her free time, she enjoys spending it with family and friends. She has spent the last few years working in Customer Service and joined the Gateway team in April of 2016.

Adria Stewart

Adria was born and raised in Lincoln, Maine. She graduated from Mattanawcook Academy in 2010 and started at the University of Maine with her business degree in accounting. She joined the Gateway Title team in June of 2016. In her free time she enjoys listening to music, going for walks and spending time with family and friends.
