Dan was born and raised in Washington, DC and grew up coming to Maine in the summer. He graduated from Bowdoin College in 2002 with a degree in geology and worked in the environmental field in the New York City area before returning to school. In 2010, he received his law degree and Masters of Environmental Law from Vermont Law School and set his sights on returning to Maine full time.
Dan worked for the Maine Department of Conservation, learning about and drafting policy for the Maine Forest Service and Land Use Planning Commission. He then moved to one of the larger law firms in Bangor, cutting his teeth on real estate transactions. Dan was able to learn the ins and outs of residential closings, commercial transactions, and large timberland transfers and the accompanying title work. He joined Gateway Title in October 2018.
In his spare time, Dan enjoys mountain biking, hiking, and fixing up an old house on the coast of Maine. He currently lives in Bangor with his wife, two kids, and two dogs.
