Kortney Aiken-Theriault

Kortney grew up in both Lincoln, Maine and Goliad, Texas. She graduated from the University of Maine in 1999. In 2000, her father asked her if she wanted to “learn the business.” She started at Gateway Title learning how to conduct title searches at the Registry of Deeds. In 2001, Kortney began working in the Bangor office and soon learned to process loans and conduct closings. She and Nichole work well together and have created great business relationships within the Bangor area for the past 12 years. She works in both the Lincoln and Bangor locations and enjoys traveling throughout New England as a “Dance Mom” with her daughter. She currently lives in Enfield with her husband Peter, daughter Delaney, Golden Retriever Zoey and their very egocentric cat, Simon.

Daniel Aiken, Esq.

Daniel G. Aiken, Esq. is from and resides in Lincoln, Maine. Dan is a 1968 graduate of the University of Maine and received his law degree from Suffolk University in 1972. He was a General Practitioner from 1972 until 1995.

In 1989, Dan founded Gateway Title. He has more than 40 years of experience in transactional real estate. He is very close with his three children and his grandchildren. Dan likes his toys, spending time in Texas and at his camp in the northern Maine woods.

Nichole Jipson-Soucy

Nichole was raised in Burlington, Maine and currently resides in West Enfield with her husband Francis. Nichole has spent her entire career with Gateway Title. She was introduced to our Lincoln office in 1996 and shortly transferred to help with the opening and management of our office in Bangor, where she remains. Her knowledge and commitment to customer satisfaction helps to bring Gateway Title to the forefront of our industry. Nichole is licensed with the Maine Bureau of Insurance as a Limited Title Insurance Producer.

When not in title and closing mode, Nichole enjoys spending time with family and friends.

James Gibbons, Esq.

James has worked in the real estate industry for over fifteen years. Prior to joining Gateway Title in September 2020, James represented institutional lenders in real estate litigation in courts throughout the State of Maine, traveling to York, Caribou, and everywhere in between.

James graduated from Siena College with a degree in Political Science and a certificate in Environmental Science, and later earned his Juris Doctor from Touro Law School. James is admitted to practice law in Maine and New York.

Prior to working in the real estate industry, James was an environmental consultant in New York, N.Y. and worked on various remediation projects in buildings that were severely damaged by the collapse of the World Trade Center.

James enjoys living in Maine and when not working, he can be found playing hockey in various Hockey Leagues or spending time outside with his family.

Kim Chilton

Kim serves as an Account Executive for Gateway Title in York and Cumberland Counties. Kim worked as a mortgage broker for twelve years, before making the transition to title in 2015, and then joining Gateway in 2021. Kim has done closings, written and taught CEU classes for Realtors all over the great state of Maine.

With strong ties to the community, Kim is an active Kennebunk Rotarian and Past President, most recently 2019 to 2021. Kim is also active with the York County Council of Realtors and the Kennnebunk, Kennebunkport, Arundel Chamber of Commerce.

A Maine native, she grew up in Maryland and returned to Portland as a teenager. Eventually, she settled in York County and made Arundel her home, where she raised her daughter Leigh.

In her free time, she enjoys her family and friends. She enjoys the outdoors, entertaining, gardening, painting or just being quiet on the beach, her favorite place in the world.

Amanda Brown

Amanda was born and raised in the small town of Burlington, Maine and now resides in Howland with her husband Danny, daughters Miranda and Christine, and their Golden Retriever Bella.

Amanda originally joined the Gateway Title team in 1999 and after five years decided to try her hand at mortgage processing. She has now returned to our Gateway family. Having the combined experience with both the lending side of the business and the title side makes Amanda a valuable asset to our company.

In her personal time, Amanda enjoys reading, camping, and spending time with her family.

Adria Stewart

Adria was born and raised in Lincoln, Maine. She graduated from Mattanawcook Academy in 2010 and started at the University of Maine with her business degree in accounting. She joined the Gateway Title team in June of 2016. In her free time she enjoys listening to music, going for walks and spending time with family and friends.

Taylor Hawkins

Taylor grew up in Lincoln and graduated from Mattanawcook Academy in 2012. She currently lives in Milford and in her free time, she enjoys spending it with family and friends. She has spent the last few years working in Customer Service and joined the Gateway team in April of 2016.

April Kerr

April grew up in Bowdoinham Maine and graduated Mt. Ararat High School in 2000. She now resides in Brewer with her husband and dogs.

April enjoys spending time outside, either hiking or mountain biking  and attending family gatherings with her 4 sisters and 12 nieces and nephews.

Kristofer Aiken

Kris was born in Bangor and grew up in Lincoln. In the eighth grade, his mother and stepfather moved he and his sisters to Texas. He returned to Maine for his junior and senior years of high school at Mattanawcook Academy, where he graduated in 1991. He spent his first year of college at the University of Maine at Augusta as a music major until he realized he didn’t really want to be a music teacher – he wanted to be in a band.

Kris moved back to Texas and attended college in San Marcos, near Austin, the live music capital of the world. He spent 10 years in a band playing music full time, making albums and touring throughout the Southwest. In 2009, he returned to Maine and started working for his father at Gateway Title as an abstractor and closing agent. He then attended college for Information Technology, which is one of his many jobs. Kris lives in Lincoln with his wife Alycia and their daughter Georgianna.

Richard Jones

Richard was born and raised in Holden, Maine. He graduated from Brewer High School in 2012 and then went on to graduate Husson University in 2016 with a degree in paralegal studies. He started working as an abstractor at Gateway Title in June of 2016.

In his free time he enjoys spending time with family and friends, watching Red Sox games, swimming and going to concerts.

Della Cole

Della has been in the banking and title industry for 37 years. In 1986 She began her career with Key Bank of Central Maine in the mortgage department then moved into loan servicing where she prepared loan packages to be sold on the secondary market. She became interested in the title business and it was a short time later that Central Maine Title Company asked her to join their team. In 1992 she joined Northeast Land Title which then became Stewart Title. Della served as Vice President and Office Manager for Stewart Title of Northern New England for seventeen years and received the “Most Improved Office” award in 2001-2002. She is proficient in all aspects of the closing process from order entry to closing. Della’s knowledge and commitment to excellence has built relationships over the years that continue to follow her to this day.

Della is a member of the Kennebec Valley Board of Realtors and the Kennebec Valley Chamber of Commerce.

Della comes from a long line of Military veterans most recently her brother Roger who has returned to Maine after 30 years serving his country. Della lives in Sidney with her husband Jeff. They have three grown sons, Christian, Eric and Dylan. She enjoys camping, country music concerts and most of all family time.

Meghan Tanner

Born and raised in Central Florida, Meghan graduated from George Jenkins High School in 2004. From there, she joined ICT Group Inc., specializing in telemarketing services.  Meghan fell in love with Maine and made the big move up here, followed by her family.

Meghan was in the banking industry for almost 10 years when she joined the Gateway team in April of 2019. Meghan brings with her over 15 years of exceptional customer service. When she is not working Meghan is enjoying Maine’s beautiful outdoors in the summer with her son and family. She loves camping, fishing, hiking, and swimming. When winter is here, she’s enjoying ice skating, sledding, snowshoeing and ice fishing.

Shannon Jordan

Shannon grew up in the “bright lights” of Prentiss in northern Maine, graduating from Lee Academy in 1996 at the young age of 16. She went on to attend Husson College for two years, studying Executive Administration and Information Processing. After graduating from Husson in 1998, she moved to Lincoln and worked for a local law firm until the birth of her daughter in 2000. After taking a short break from the working world, she became employed at Gateway Title in November of 2001. In December 2007 she took a few months off from work for the birth of her son. She has worked as the Abstracting Coordinator since her return, and opens each file for all of our branches from the Lincoln office. Shannon also works two part-time jobs from home and has recently completed her Associate Broker course.

When she’s not working, you can usually find her enjoying her children’s sporting events or spending time with family and friends.

Cynthia Chadwick-Granger

Cynthia has been in the Real Estate Industry for over 30 years. Beginning her career as a Realtor, she transitioned into a Mortgage Loan Officer. In 2009, she shifted into the Title and Closing business and joined Gateway in 2023. Her business background in Sales and Marketing ensures she provides exceptional service and knowledge as she closes the deal.  She has worked in the York and Cumberland counties for years and has an established clientele who she looks forward to servicing from the Scarborough Office. She is looking forward to expanding the growth and exposure of the company through her creative Sales and Marketing skills. She received the prestigious “Affiliate of the Year” award among her peers in the real estate industry.

Cynthia is very involved in her community, serving on her school and planning boards. She actively volunteers for the Making Strides for Cancer and the Cystic Fibrosis Portland Committees. Cynthia is committed to philanthropic efforts, having served four years as the president of the Maine Association of Mortgage Professionals, as a Big Sister mentor for 5 years and has helped build homes for Habitat for Humanity.  When not working or volunteering, Cynthia spends quality time with her husband, her beautiful Elkhound, Bella, and her blue front amazon parrot, Jada.

Virginia Hafford

Virginia was born in Lincoln & shares her home there with her husband, daughter (when she is home from college), two dogs, and cat.  Virginia studied at the University of Maine in Orono. Before joining Gateway in 2019, Virginia worked in healthcare and the customer service industry for many years.  She enjoys working and interacting with the public.

Virginia loves spending time with her family and loves to laugh!  She has a fondness for the beautiful State of Maine, Saint Bernard dogs, and chocolate.

Christine Carter

Christine moved to Bangor, Maine with her husband in 1997 where she started working for a Closing and Title Agent.  Christine worked for a few years in the mortgage industry (closing/ post-closing) before leaving the workforce to stay home with her children.  For 7 years prior to coming to Gateway,  Christine worked with real estate attorney in Newport as the primary legal secretary focusing on real estate transactions.

She currently lives in Pittsfield with her husband Kelley, 3 children – Brenden, Nicholas, and Catherine and the family dog – Joey.  Christine likes to spend her free time at home with her family and attend the various events that her children are involved in, both  at school and in the community. She likes to read, watch movies, do word search puzzles and cross stitch.

Lori Clayton

Lori was born and raised in Caribou, Maine where she now resides with her family. After several years working in real estate law, Lori joined Gateway Title in June of 2009 when our Presque Isle location opened. After a short break as a licensed Property & Casualty Insurance Agent, she rejoined Gateway Title in November of 2017. Lori takes pride in providing every client with exceptional service. When not working, Lori enjoys recreational activities with her husband, Jon and their son, Liam.

 

 

Jacquilin West

Jackie grew up in Southern Louisiana, moving with her mom and siblings to Washburn, Maine when her mom retired from the Military in 2014. She graduated from Washburn District High School and attend Northern Maine Community College, where she received an Associate’s Degree in Business Administration.

Jackie is an animal lover, who enjoys helping her mom on their farm. Jackie also enjoys outdoor activities, such as four wheeling and hiking. Her favorite time spent is spending it with her boyfriend, friends, and family.

Mila Rice

Mila grew up in Brunswick Maine where she graduated and attended the University of Southern Maine, receiving her business degree in business management and administration. She currently resides in Enfield with her fiancé Lance, and her two animals, Wells and Charli. Mila has worked in the customer service industry for many years before joining Gateway in 2021.

In her free time Mila enjoys spending time with her family and animals, traveling, and spending time outdoors.

Jenifer Hogan

Jenifer was raised in Lincoln, Maine and currently resides in Edinburg with her husband Mark. Before joining the Post Closing Department at Gateway in the fall of 2021, Jenifer worked for several years in quality control and production management for a manufacturing company.
In her free time, Jenifer likes to go camping and boating on Cold Stream Pond. She also enjoys spending time with her friends and family and taking road trips.

Nikki Chabot

Nikki serves as Gateway’s Account Executive for Androscoggin County and Central Maine. She comes with 10+ years of experience in the industry; with a background in title and closing, as well as real estate expertise from having been a real estate agent. Nikki has been in every seat at the closing table, giving her a unique perspective on the closing experience. Nikki is well-known in the industry for providing exceptional customer service, and going above and beyond to get questions answered, or provide help wherever she can!

Nikki was born and raised in Auburn, and now lives with her son – Payson, fiancé – Caleb, Goldendoodle – Sushi, and cat – Meredith Grey. In her free time, she enjoys cheering on her son at his sporting events, mountain biking, hiking, reading and spending time with family and friends!

Sara Belle Fischer

Born and raised in the Mid-Coast, Sara Belle has a great appreciation for community and loves the small town feel that Maine emanates. After attending university at Seton Hall, she moved to Portland, the “biggest small town” in Maine. Joining Gateway in 2022, she brings with her enthusiasm for community relations, a strong background in customer service, and an exceptional standard of conduct. When she isn’t working, Sara Belle enjoys traveling, supporting small local businesses, and spending time with friends and family.

Linda Gervais

Born and raised in Fort Kent, Linda has worked in the Medical Field for the past 25 years. She is a graduate of the Maine Medical Center School of Surgical Technology and has an Associates Degree from the University of Maine at Augusta. Linda is the Admin/Receptionist at the newly opened Fort Kent office.  Linda has recently moved back to Fort Kent after living in Southern Maine for 27 years.

In her free time, Linda loves traveling with her partner, Chris, and spending time with her grandchildren, Hudson, Sullivan, Emme, Hayley and Julian.
